Hello my fellow bloggers, I do have to admit that I do have to disappear once in a while thus I apologize for that but I have been working on something exciting which you’ll get to know in a few months time. SO until them let me share another interesting mail with you all that I had received recently…

“A woman came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find her 5-year old son waiting for her at the door.

SON: ‘Mummy, may I ask you a question?’

MUM: ‘Yeah sure, what it is?’ replied the woman.

SON: ‘Mummy, how much do you make an hour?’

MUM: ‘That’s none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?’ the woman said angrily.
SON: ‘I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?’

MUM: ‘If you must know, I make   Rs. 50 an hour(roughly a Dollar).’

SON: ‘Oh,’ the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: ‘Mummy, may I please borrow Rs.25?’

The mother was furious, ‘If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish.

I don’t work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.’

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door..

The woman sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy’s questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the woman had calmed down , and started to think:

Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that Rs.25.00 and she really didn’t ask for money very often. The woman went to the door of the little boy’s room and opened the door.

‘Are you asleep, son?’ She asked.

‘No Mummy, I’m awake,’ replied the boy.

‘I’ve been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier’ said the woman. ‘It’s been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here’s the Rs.25 you asked for.’

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. ‘Oh, thank you Mummy!’ he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The woman saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his mother.

‘Why do you want more money if you already have some?’ the mother grumbled.

‘Because I didn’t have enough, but now I do,’ the little boy replied.

‘Mummy, I have Rs.50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.’

The mother was crushed. She put his arms around her little son, and she begged for his forgiveness.

It’s just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers
without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember  to share that R50 worth of your time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. ”

Hope you all did like it and please do try and spread the message by sharing it with your friends… Thanks & Best Wishes…

Long Overdue

Hello my fellow bloggers, as the title does suggest, I completely understand that it has definitely been quite “long overdue” since I posted anything on my blog. But never fear, cuz am here!!!!! ( God! Do I get a kick out of saying something cartoony 😉 )

Well, last couple of weeks have me kinda philosophical by nature. You know I had to use my cranium quite a lot (not that I disapprove of!), started feeling anxious and nervous.

There are so many things that you anxiously wait or expect to happen but sometimes it doesn’t and in my case quite a lot, but me who doesn’t give up that easily, pursued my DREAMS and GOALS with “grit” and “determination” if I may add, finally managed to get some things done that I always wanted.

However the process was a rather long and arduous one. It definitely isn’t that easy to pursue something that didn’t happen once but you nevertheless made it happen the second time round. So for that I give myself a pat on the back!!!

Long Overdue

The process literally and I mean seriously tests your patience and self-confidence! For me it took a year, and I just cannot simply sit and watch the time tick by, right? So I decided to dabble in few other things while still giving it all I got!

In the end it did finally happen along with a host of other things. I went on a vacation that was long overdue, and it was just amazing to just while away time doing nothing but enjoy the world!!!

You also get to know of a good omen when things finally start to fall in place. You know, the domino effect, when one initial action falls in place, it triggers other consequent actions to finish in the affirmative thereby finishing the most intricately crafted puzzle.

Although I questioned my decision, lost confidence, lost patience, threw tantrums, spent lost of time solitude, but when the thing that I wanted took place, I felt “It was definitely worth the effort and time!”

So I just want to add that it definitely is easy to give up and later regret about it, but it never is easy to not give up and still pursue your aims!

“Patience” and “Determination” does pay off at times.. although quite delayed 😉 !

PS: On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, I would to extend my heartfelt warmth, gratitude and love to all my fellow bloggers, subscribers and followers who have been supportive of my blog! And a final big hug to my BLOG, without which I wouldn’t have survived my long and arduous wait for things to happen 🙂

Best Wishes everybody…

Time Tested

Call me crazy, but am a stickler for time! I always want to be on time for any event that requires my attendance. I try to be there at least 15 minutes before the event has to start.

“Small improvements in the way you use your time can translate into major differences in your life!”

I swear by the above quote, because I personally have felt the effect and repercussions of the above-mentioned quote.

Some People just don’t realize the value or importance of time – as an entity and as a philosophy!

Time has taught me a lot of things and am sure you might also agree with my list. Time has taught me on the “true” behavior and character of people; time has taught me to be patient for things that you crave for; it has also taught me to analyse my decisions; it has taught me to speak and communicate “effectively” and “in a neutral manner”.

However, I do have to add that there are some aspects that I don’t agree, I don’t agree to the fact that “time is a good healer”; maybe that’s my nature! Once bitten, I always tend to ignore and avoid that person completely, how much ever they apologize. For any clarifications, you can ask my “ex-friend” who I haven’t spoken to in more than 2 years as of now!!!

As I write this post, I am remembered of an interview of Author Salman Rushdie, which I saw on television yesterday. It was a real delight to watch his comments and I appreciate his open-mindedness and outspoken nature.

He went to say that “the past can cripple the present” and that “past should remain in the past, and should ne forgotten”

“The past tends to disrupt the ideas of the modern and ever-changing world” which I totally agree upon. As the world, becomes a much smaller place with a huge influx of positivity and creativity, we should have a look and give a thought about some bizarre rules set centuries ago, that do not hold any relevance in this time.

People in general should make an effort to try to change their outlook. Considering both sides and multiple ways before taking a decision should be a time-tested practise that should be followed. Placing yourself in the other person’s shoes before saying something harsh will help in quelling any negativity, in my opinion.

At the end, time will speak for itself and “a stitch in time, saves nine!”
